About Website Analyzer

Website Analyzer is a free tool built and run by Gouthaman Karunakaran, a solo maker based in London. Enter any URL and get a plain-language report on its tech stack, hosting, security headers, SEO, accessibility and more, in about 10 seconds, with no login.

Why I built it

Most website checkers are built for engineers, lock results behind accounts, or bury the answer in jargon. This tool explains what a site is made of and what to fix first, in language a business owner can act on.

How it works

The tool fetches the public HTML, headers, DNS and WHOIS data for the submitted URL — the same information any visitor's browser can see — then scores and explains it.

Nothing is probed beyond public data. There are no logins attempted, no hidden endpoints scanned, and no traffic sent to non-public areas of a site.

Honest limitations

Sites behind enterprise CDNs like Cloudflare intentionally hide some technical details, so some results show Based on available data instead of inventing certainty.

Security scoring is based on HTTP headers only, not penetration testing. A high score means the publicly visible headers are well configured; it does not guarantee that a site has no vulnerabilities.
